Final Fantasy Type-0 and the not so smart Square Enix
It’s no surprise when the director of Final Fantasy Type-0 caught word of the sales of his new game in Japan were 650,000 the other day as he sat comfy preparing his next game. Not the news he was expecting to hear as he wanted more units sold. Of course, this game has only been released for the Playstation Portable in Japan. A costly mistake it seems when we look at the numbers:
PSP’s sold in Japan: 15 Million
PSP’s sold in US: 17 million
Now what this tells us, surprisingly, is that the PSP is more popular in Japan thanks to the Monster Hunter series owned by Konami and the fact that they have more PSPs per person than the United States. However, they ignored the fact that a majority of PSP owners are massive RPG players as well. There was never any doubt that this was a bad move on their part which, as stated by Final Fantasy Type-0s Ultimania, they will be releasing an international version.
Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the…oh fuck…lemme restarts.
Today I learned that the JP glitch comes with a downside in this game. If your summoner knows all the summons and you use it to kill all your enemies, none of units will level up…at all.
This will be the third or forth time I restart this game. Hey, good news is, this will tie me over till my birthday.
Last one for tonight. I’m going to make my own meme’s tomorrow.
